Hello Everyone,

It's been a rough week.  It's been a terrible week for Orlando, Florida specifically.  I can't even begin to imagine how those touched by the this tragedy must feel.  Even as I write this post I still have so many emotions and thoughts swirling around inside of heart and head.  A lingering sadness persist on the emotional side which is sometimes replaced by anger.  I'm angry because this happened.  Angry because no common sense gun legislation was already in place that could have prevented the Orlando night club shooting.  Or the the senseless murder of Christina Grimmie. I have always been in favor of gun control.  I think people should be required to not only pass background checks but also be required to take and pass a comprehensive test on gun safety.  I don't think that just anyone should be allowed to own a gun.  I've heard all of the arguments for and against and both sides have very valid points.  I will say that anyone whose on the FBI watch list or any or type of watch list should not ever be allowed to "legally" purchase a firearm.  I can't stress enough to gun rights people that the government aren't coming for your guns.  I honestly don't know where people get this stuff from.  Gun control is just another issue that they can keep us divided on- just like abortion and immigration.  You're always going to have people who fall on both sides of the issues but what I can't stand is for someone to be so entrenched in their beliefs that they abandon all reason and facts that don't support their stance.  While the 2nd Amendent was written when their were only muskets I still believe in the right to bar arms.  I also believe the right to bare arms comes with a massive responsibility, a burden even.  A burden that many people can't bare.

Greetings

Hello my fellow travelers.  How have you been?  What have you been up to since we last talked?  As for myself, I've gotten married-become a husband, stepfather, son-in-law and soon a grandparent.  We honeymooned in Jamaica, Sandals Resort.  I drank and ate more than I should have but so what.  It's a lot to take in.  So far marriage has been nothing short of amazing.  I should have done it sooner.  Sometimes I can't believe how lucky I am to have found someone like my wife.  The whirlwind hasn't stopped.  We've both have been working nonstop since we got back.  She's working extra hours at work, and here lately so have I.  It makes for less time together and that sucks but we both have our eyes on the bigger picture.  And the bigger picture is home ownership and financial security.  We're not trying to impress anyone, race anyone but instead we are on our own timeline.  Our two girls-Sheba and Xena are still with us as well.  They still hate each other but they can't live without each other as well.  Strange but true.  I bought so muzzles and plan to reintroduce them to each other once again because we can't keep them separated forever.  Or can we? Oh yeah we have a new POTUS but I won't get into that.  I just can't right.  I literally can't.  Writing is a great way to keep the brain strong.  It's one thing to say things and something else completely different to write the same words down, on paper and on monitors.  I've toyed with the idea of podcasting again and have practiced preparing as if I was about to do so on Saturday mornings.  My biggest problem is figuring out what my podcast would be about.  Sports, politics, romance and marriage.  What the heck man.  I already have enough stuff going on in my life.  Why take on something else?  Please let me know what you think my new podcast should be about.  Let me tell you that I have no interest in politics.  Any other topic is ok.
